PrintAfter an impressive showing by Denny Neagle yesterday, Dewon Brazelton takes his turn on the mound today with a home game at Progress Energy Park at Al Lang Field.
They will face the Pirates at 1:05pm who will will use left-hander Dave Williams and right-hander Ryan Vogelsong.
Also expected to pitch for the Devil Rays are Doug Waechter, Angel Garcia, Trever Miller, Jesus Colome and Danys Baez.
The bats came to life yesterday against the Blue Jays. Julio Lugo had three hits on the day.
For the Pirates, it was last Spring that Ryan Vogelsong looked like he was going to have a breakout year. It goes to show you that the Spring and the regular season are two entirely different things. This is the same guy who was traded for the great Jason Schmidt a few years ago.
The game will be broadcast on WHNZ. This will be the first chance to hear the new voices for the DRays, Dave Wills and Andy Freed.
