The Rays are a public relations disaster. At a majors-worst 28-61 they are headed for a franchise-worst 111 losses. Manager Lou Piniella has criticized ownership, and ownership is split between managing general partner Vince Naimoli and Stuart Sternberg.
As for when the reins will pass from Naimoli to Sternberg, Selig said, "I don't know. That's something (Sternberg) and Vince are going to have to work out."
Its about ten years late that MLB has concern for the management of this franchise. However, I am glad they finally realize there is severe issues here.
