Gomes = ROY????

Does anyone know how many AB's Gomes would need to qualify for the ROY?

There's no specific amount of playing time that a player has to have to win but in general the voters prefer players that have been up since May or earlier. If Gomes hits 20 home runs he'll push his way into consideration but it'll be tough for him to win it.

Small Chance

As well as he's played, he still plays in Tampa. There isn't much pub nationally. We know he's great, but, the nation doesn't care about us.

If I had to guess, I'd say it would be one of the A's. Probably Huston Street, he's been an elite closer as a rookie, but Swisher will probably finish second. He's going to hit 25 and .275.

If Gomes can hit 20+, he'll get some consideration, because he only played a half a year.
