D'Rays involved in a trade..

Only in my pretend realGM league I sent over John Thomson (ATL) and Matt Capps (PIT) to the D Rays owner and got

OF Elijah Dukes

and

SP Wade Davis.

I was wondering if someone could give me a scouting report on one or both of these guys that can include a ETA and prospective prime numbers.

I'll give it a go.................................
Dukes is an extremely talented, big outfielder with makeup concerns. He is fairly large, and can hit plenty of home runs, though is usually a line drive hitter. He has been shifted around to nearly every outfield position in the last two years due to Delmon Young and Jason Pridie's arrival in Montgomery and Durham these past two years. He has major makeup concerns, however, as he has a long rap sheet of arrests and run-ins with teammates, most recently one in April in which he had a run-in with Richie Hebner, a coach, and was rumored to have gotten into a fistfight with Darnell McDonald. He is one of the most talented prospects in the DRO, if not all of the minor leagues, but his future is clouded by his off the field issues. He has seemingly matured more as of late, but whether this will continue remains to be seen. He will probably be called up after the All-Star break, and at the very latest, will be a September callup, though if his production continues, there is an outside shot he gets the call this month.

Davis was considered by many prospect writers as one of baseball's biggest sleepers going into this season, and his microscopic ERA at SW Michigan has done nothing to thwart those predictions. He is absolutely shutting down hitters at a lower level, dominating the MWL. He is regarded as either the first, or second best pitching prospect in the DRO (IMO, he is No. 1), and with the promotions of Jason Hammel and others to the majors at some point this year, may take over the No .1 spot for sure, depending on our draft. With the way he has been mowing down the MWL, it wouldn't surprise me if he got a call to Visalia in a month, and will probably start in Montgomery the next season. I'd say his ETA would be as a September callup next year, or in early 2008.
