Townsend
was great in his first start back.
5 IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 6K's
I'm really excited to see what he can do. I firmly believe he got hurt during his junior year in college and it just got worse when he was drafted by the Rays. If he regains his sophmore form (which I believe is within the relm of possibility), he's going to shock a lot of people.

Curves back!
"Wade Townsend, rhp, Columbus (Devil Rays): 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K. This is the eye-opening line of the night. After missing all of 2006 recovering from Tommy John surgery, Townsend returned to the mound, and his signature curveball was in full working order. Just what the D-Rays need, yet another prospect."
Other Rays mentions in the article:
"Reid Brignac, ss; and Evan Longoria, 3b, Montgomery (Devil Rays): both 2-for-4, with Longoria adding a double. Has the potential to be a historically great left side."
That is great news!
