Keith Law is a Man's Man

ESPN's predictions have been posted and only two writers, Jonah Keri and Law, had the Rays going to the World Series. Law stands alone in picking the Rays to actually win the title. For some reason I wouldn't expect anything less out of Law than to make a unique pick.

---

If you're in the mood for GDTs on non-Rays series we will have one for each game over at Beyond the Boxscore. I will ask that we leave some of the "culture" out of the BtB gamethreads however since the audience will be quite different.

wow that surprises me that he would pick the rays to win it

so many other people would just go with the cubs, angels or red sox, but law knows this organization better than most here do

Dodgers, Brewers and Angels

We would have home field against the Sox but the day I cheer for them is the day Longoria is not awesome.

rooting for Boston

tell me it wouldn’t be awsome to defeat the Red Sox in an ALCS…..bring them on! But first things first….

Yes

This will not be as sweet if we dont step on the Red Sox’s necks to get there.

I want the Brewers, Dodgers and Angels as well. Kinda a toss up between the Dodgers and the Cubs for me though… as long as neither team makes the world series I’ll be okay

ESPN is already annoying me.

Tim Kurkjian said Shields’ name is “Big Game James” I’ve never heard anyone call him that. He also said Shields has the best “stuff” on the staff.

These guys should just admit they havent seen this team all year

go away percival

he doesnt have the best stuff of course

but he has been the most reliable and has caused the least amount of smashed stuff in my house this season.

He has the best pitch.

All anyone has to do is read Law’s preview to know enough about the team to get by. You don’t have to be smart to act smart.

He said this morning

The Rays are gonna have to leave 13 game winner Andy Sonnanstine off the playoff roster. It’s not like Maddon hasn’t announced the rotation yet.

has BPro had their secret sauce article up yet?

it’s fielding, ace reliever, and strikeouts, right? Rays are excellent, good, and good in those areas.
