Yes - Davis was amazing
the fact he had to play on that concrete service in Riverfront cost him a lot of time. Devon White is another name that comes to mind when watching Upton play CF. The difference in the three is White and Davis did a lot of diving for balls while Upton does not (shoulder worry most likely).

Wow, never thought of Davis, but it fits.
Davis was such a badass. All those terrible injuries really dampened his career post-1990. Then he had to deal with cancer on top of everything else.
If not diving on concrete makes BJ lazy, then I’m all for lazy over broken down by age 28.

And fair weather fans having to do a complete 180 on this guy. That is the worst part of sports in the area. There always has to be a villan and the media always has to create one to feed into it. Its nice that not only is BJ shutting up Red Sox fans in Boston, but he is also shutting up the bandwagoners here locally as well. The discouraging difference is you can’t really tell the two apart.
Someone should buy and send Ron and Ian and Duemig Upton jersey shirts, or at least signed photos.

Digression is a painful thing to watch, especially when you are your own worst enemy. He needs to get his slider back because this fastball/change crap isn’t going to work when he’s throwing heat 88% of the time and not for many strikes.

Im just happy that the nation has finally gotten a glimpse of the real BJ, not the one that BBTN exploited after he got benched.
Idea:
Black t-shirts. With “Boo Him Now” on front in white. That’s the entire shirt. Sell them for 5 bucks. All that money goes to charity — a hearing impaired children charity, because irony and helping kids out is awesome.

I hate how local talk shows have to have a villian on the team. It went from Upton now to Kaz
I hate how they just totally ignore the fact that they are both hurt. Do they not realize that injuries play a huge factor?
They're not ignoring it.
In both cases, it had not been stated by either the team or the player that they were hurt. We here suspected there was something wrong with Upton’s shoulder. We were right, but we didn’t find out until well over two months later.
Again, we suspect there’s something wrong with Kazmir’s elbow. We’re probably right again, but we won’t find out until the season’s over.

The sports talk show hosts (and their callers) don’t have the ability to actually think far enough ahead to analyze what’s going on, so instead of thinking ‘well he might be injured’, they just analyze the results and call the player overrated, selfish, lazy, egotistical, a headcase, whatever.

Duemig makes me sick. He has second guessed every move Maddon made this year. I wish Stu, Andrew, and Rays players would boycott his show. Thank god Gulf Coast sports fan now have an alternative in 1040am.
