WORLD SERIES HERE WE COME

The coldest story was to be told tonight. The Rays were done. History was against them, but history doesn't play baseball. This team has shown again and again how true that is. This was freaking amazing series and frankly you couldn't ask for more emotion and drama. Four more wins. That's all we need. Four more wins.

Also:

Joe Maddon redeemed himself tonight. Excellent bullpen usage.

Garza pitched the best game of his life.

David Price is everything we could want.

Crawford earned his reaction so damn hard.

I GOT NOTHING BUT FIDDLE CATS

Thingsyoucantouch_medium

OH AND THANK YOU FRONT OFFICE. STU, FRIEDMAN, SILVERMAN, MADDON, EVERYONE ELSE INCLUDING THE PLAYERS AND TRAINERS. WITHOUT YOU THERE'S NO THIS.

Now that the series is over, wow.

Absolutely wow. Boston put up a hell of a fight. I look forward to more years of this.

I also look forward to next year, where the Trop will be chock-full of RAYS FANS during Boston games.

Congratulations from an Angels fan.

Congratulations on your teams fantastic play, standing up to the pressure, and taking the pennant. Job well done. And special congrats to Joe Madden, a great baseball man and a great leader. We watched him coach with great success here in Anaheim for many, many years, and he truly showed his mettle in this game seven.

Congrats again.

Rays, you are my second favorite team in the AL

i think you were ever since i was about 8 or so (8 years ago) and i saw the logo and was like, that logo is awesome. and plus, i hated the yankees and bosux. and the rays just kinda remind me of the angels style (especially with maddon and percival now)

Mr Moreno,
Please re-sign Tex.
Sincerely yours,
Halo fans everywhere

150:1 Odds

I put $20 on the Rays to win the W.S. in Vegas the first weekend of the season and got 150:1 odds at the Stratosphere Casino. Things are looking good.

Sex is sex and baseball is baseball, sometimes they mix in the clubhouse but never the twain shall meet on the field. But here’s Jason Varitek, right in front of him, huge catcher’s thighs dangerously close, smelling like sweat and leather and other tantalizingly dark, male things, every fiber of his being saying, "Just give me a reason and I will beat the ever-loving shit out of you," and in that instant Alex could have been in any bedroom in the world, and forgets he’s on a field of baseball where it is his duty to play the game and sometimes forgo his own pleasure, even when some guy comes up to you like the best fucking wet dream ever made real, so Alex lets slip the magic words that would bait that delicious rage and bring it crashing down over him.

Random Story

I use to work ath the Haunted Mansion in some little theme park in Orlando in ya’ll’s state. As a result, I gained an affinity for the place and purchased the (very underrated) Haunted Mansion video game. NOT based on the movie!

Anyway, you can talk to all the ghosts in the game, and if you talk to one ghost who is in a band, he says, “guys. Guys! I think we’re missing something. We need more cow bell!”

Another ghost respons, “yeah! That’s what we need! Cowbell! More cowbell!”

Not only did I fall in love with a Disney game with hidden SNL references, but I thought you guys should know that, from now on, when I play that game, I’ll think of ya’ll.

Not nearly as cool as Maniac Mansion

Which, as far as I know, was the first video game where you could microwave a hamster, then serve it as dinner to the person who owned the hamster.

Vogt early, Vogt often.

Congrats guys.

You beat the Red Sox head to head during the season, in the standings and now in the playoffs. I don’t think we can argue which was the better team in 2008.

Now go out and finish the job!

And, whatever happens, enjoy it.

The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.

I guess it should be noted for the less geeky people

that you have to read this from right to left. Cuz that’s how the Japanese read.

Aki told me.
