What a crazy week it has been with the unexpected massive success of the Rays and birth of my first child. Im certainly not comparing the 2 other then I wasn’t sure if either would ever happen and both are emotionally draining and unbelievable. My wife was nice enough to deliver on an off day and both mother and my little girl are doing just great.
Do you guys think it would have been a bit much if she was a boy and we went with either David Evan or Evan David??
Anyway, the hat was a big hit with the nurses at the hospital and I wanted to share my greatest accomplishment as we prepare for the World Series.
On a completely unrelated note, was anyone else wondered how Troy Percival must be feeling while the boys celebrate and he is not around?

Congrats! You could always call her Bossgirl Junior.
Where exactly is Troy? Did he decide he didn’t want to be around or what?
Congrats man
Bossgirl is good, but what about Eva Longoria?
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
Mine
Was born about a half hour after the the big comeback loss in Game 5. Thank god she missed that. Amazingly, all the female nurses and doctors didn’t understand why I had the game on and was cussing while my wife was in labor! One even asked if the Indians were playing (I’m in Ohio). Anyways, BIG congrats to you and the wife bpoe13. Lucky guys we are. And, you can blame being tired the next week or so on the kid and not on staying up late watching the Rays!

That is awesome.
My daughter was born Aug. 25th. I thanked my wife for picking an off-day.
Our daughter is named Caroline just to mess with Red Sox fans. After all, they own the name/song.
So, are our daughters bandwagon fans?
According to the national media… Good for you RATW, and Caroline (that’s funny), mine thinks we are 1-1 at this point, she’ll see. Rays fans are apparently rather fertile (at least since spring training)???

Mine is...
I keep telling her she’s lucky she wasn’t alive for the bad years :-)
She’s an Evan Longoria fan … her first giggle came when I was acting silly after he launched one (this is a few months ago now) and now she’ll laugh just when I say his name.
Congrats to all the new Dads!

Congrats! Just plain awesome.
Again, BIG contrats. Although, watching the games just got harder…lol…
Carlos and Victor Zambrano have exactly the same number of career postseason wins. Who would have thought?
not really
kid will likely keep him up all night.
Funny thing though, if he’s watching the game while he’s with her, studies have shown that the children form attachments to those sounds and images at early ages (of course would take more than a week of playoff games) but it could get her hooked on the Rays right out of the womb!

so her first words are going to be BJ upton then?
the red sox had a 9 game elimination win streak, but matt garza was too busy rocking out to tupac to notice
Or Bossman.
If Dad’s the screaming/cheering at the TV when Upton hits a HR type.

only 2 more for the most in a post season
and tie his regular season total

Bonds haters have to cheer for us
Anything to get an instance of his name out of the record books.

I am fearing my 2 year old...
… when he finally decides to talk will come out with something like this (he’s already babbled something that sounded awfully close to s—t)
