Post-post-season softball game

PrintA number of us here at DRaysBay expressed interest in playing a softball game to get together and meet some of the people we already know face-to-face. So this thread is to discuss such a meeting. I propose the Saturday after this sometime in the afternoon, around 3:00. Which field we play at is up to everyone, I have no idea where a good one would be so DO IT!
Also GO RAYS Thank you for a wonderous season. This one was great, just a dress rehearsal for the next 5 years!

I am in from Tampa. I may be able to bring up to 3 others, but Saturday may be short notice.
It also may not be necessary if we have enough people.
Maybe not this saturday.

Anybody know of a good field in a relatively centralized location?
Think we can get the trop on such short notice?

Google Mangrove bay golf course
They are off of 62nd ave north (near the Gandy) and have a few softball fields there

There are actually quite a few fields in Pinellas Park
Helen Howarth/Rec Center, Davis Field, Youth Park…
Eddie C Moore on Drew and US 19 has great fields...not sure about availability though.

They're not open to public.

Fossil Park (St. Pete), Frank Tack Park (Clearwater), Joe D I think (Clearwater)….

I don't care either way, but I don't have any equipment or anything
I just figured softball would be easier. I myself never played so I’d prolly just suck big time if people who actually pitched threw to me.

I'd prefer not baseball
I haven’t played baseball/softball in years because of my elbow, and I don’t even know how well it’ll hold up to a game.
I'd prefer softball as well.

Bear Creek Park seems centralized in St. Pete near-ish to the Trop, and is the only location I can attend.

I can't make it on Saturdays
Sundays are much better. But, I wish you boys the best and wish I could be there.

Saturdays are rough for me as I go to almost every Florida game
But if it is one where i"m free then I’m totally in.
I guarantee if we don't have a date set within a week
It won’t happen.
I’m in favor of next Saturday or Sunday. There will be no date that allows everyone to come.
