Even though the Rays lost last night, do remember this...
The 1991 Braves (first team to go from worst record in baseball to being in the World Series) lost that year's Fall Classic, but would appear in 4 more World Series in the next 8 years. They would also win the National League East for 15 consecutive seasons. If the '91 Braves can do it, then the '08 Rays can be part of a new dynasty that will continue the great story of 2008.
The Rays will begin their A.L. title defense April 6th, 2009 at Fenway Park against the Red Sox, and a week later, the Rays will raise their A.L. Champions banner and recieve their A.L. Championship rings at their home opener against the Yankees, April 13-15 at the Trop. Is anyone in Rays Nation attending the A.L. Champions celebration later this week? And is anyone attending the Rays' first home series to see the A.L. Champions banner and the Rays get their rings?
Anyway, here's hoping that the Rays shine on for years to come!

While it's not bad tidings
I certainly hope it doesn’t take us another four years to win our first World Series.
Lay off the stadium, Iwamura
Home opener
I will mos def be attending opening day next year. Unless the front office jacks my season ticket costs > 50%.

Please don't refer to rays fans as a nation
I’ll be there next year. We only have one more thing to accomplish and we have all the parts to make that happen.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
oh the hell with it
My brother is going to Florida for the Marlins opening day, I think I will do the same with the Rays and see that banner be raised, I haven’t been to the Trop in YEARS. I did see the Rays recently, I was there for David Price’s debut at Yankee Stadium but drunk asshole Yankee fans wasn’t exactly the experience I was looking for
I personally don't want to be like the 90's Braves
One WS championship in 15 tries doesn’t really make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
1 is better then none.
I will take one right now.
The Rays lost the World Series to bad umpires, Mother Nature, and the Philadelphia Phillies.
