If this don't piss you off, nothing will. Check out this quote by David Ortiz during a radio interview.
The Red Sox made the playoffs but eventually lost to the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Championship Series. Would they have won it all with Ramirez?
"Probably," Ortiz said. "I'm not going to lie to you, probably."

Ortiz should remember he isn't white, and should therefore be careful about what he says in BOSTON

We barely beat them via an incredible start and elite bullpen management
Adding one of the best hitters of the last 15 years would most likely have sunk us.
Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found
a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up
that much.

I assume he means in place of himself
Otherwise he means Bay, and that’s dumb, Bay got on base 47% of the time. Maybe Ortiz shouldn’t have turned into a pumpkin.

Maybe he means Bay AND Ramirez AND himself.
But yeah, if he means in place of Bay that’s ridiculous. Bay was a bright spot the entire series and definitely didn’t hurt the Red Sox.
Maybe Bay will be upset enough that he wants out of Boston and come to the Rays to make Ortiz eat his words.

Jason Bay should beat his ass.
Way to throw your teammate, who played better than you in the ALCS anyways, under the bus.
This.

Manny was better than Bay in the playoffs.
Manny was better than Jesus in the playoffs:
.560/.667/1.080/1.747 w/ 4 HRs, 2 2B, and 10 RBis in 8 games.
He would have won the series for them.

You're assuming far too much by saying that.
If their pitching didn’t implode maybe they win that series.

Can't get mad at the guy. Do we really expect a rational, unbiased opinion from a Red Sock? I'm any Ray would say the same if the roles were reversed

dunno...guess maybe I should have said "This should piss off any Red Sox fan"
Still funny to hear Big Papi talk about the ifs and buts….maybe he should have “We would have won if I actually hit the ball”
