Cubs Do the Rest of MLB a Favor and Resign Dempster
The deal is not official yet , but there's no reason to think that this deal would fall through.
In case you were unaware, Dempster pitched far above his talent level last year and was very lucky.
And actually, as Blicks noted, this signing hurt the pitching market, with Dempster's probable contract at 14 millions dollars a year....
Apparently this fanpost needs to be 75 words long, so I guess I'll ask everyone, "what are your top 10 favorite songs?"

They did the rest of MLB an un-favor as well
helping set the market for pitching, if Lohse hadn’t done so already.
But, the market had been set already.
Top 10 songs…hmm…that’s a tough one. At least one of the songs is by Alice in Chains.
I know that's a pisser, baby.

Rotten Apple?
Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found
a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up
that much.

And may have done the Rays a hug favor
As we are unlikely to sign a free agent pitcher, and may have a starter to trade.

I'd like to give the Rays a hug.

It has a lot of Green Day and Nirvana
Yeah, I used to be on drugs and they became 2 of my fav bands.
Also, thank you Cubs, hopefully someone will pay for the very low priced Jackson now.

Obviously you weren't doing the right drugs
Otherwise you’d like the Pixies and My Bloody Valentine instead.

The Pixies and MBV are definitely personal favorites
both sober and under the watchful eye of various substances of questionable legality.

Perhaps this is why anyone could like Bjork

Hm.
Definitely a Nas entry or two, maybe some Tupac. Not sure if a Lupe song slides in or not.

Top 10 rap songs
its too hard to do a top 10 songs of one genre so all genres is near impossible… so since someone brought up rap I’ll try to do that… so here they are in no particular order
The World is Yours – Nas (opening verse is quite possibly the best verse ever)
Juicy – Biggie
Definition – Black Star
Hip Hop Saved My Life – Lupe
What More Can I Say – Jay-Z
The Seed 2.0 – The Roots
When I Be On The Mic – Rakim
I Used to H.E.R. – Common
Award Tour – Tribe
Da Mystery of Chessboxin’ – Wu-Tang Clan
Crap I left off a lot of songs I wanted to put on there

Talib (probably my favorite rapper but Lupe is quickly gaining on him) and Mos Def are amazing
It was tough to leave off Respiration but I was trying to include most of my favorite artists

I like this list, but would probably sub in some zepplin, Floyd, Doors
for Pixies, JEW, The Horrorist
Costello is so Gottdang good.
Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found
a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up
that much.

Yeah, I generally didn't dig the 60's and 70's
I like some of the garage rock (Kinks, Troggs, etc.) and proto-punk, but not too much that I’m into pre-disco backlash.

I'll guess that you were in High School mid-to-late 90's?
I thought my list was a bit focused too much on one time period. Good songs mostly though.

How was Dempster lucky?
His tRA and tRA* were pretty damn good. Stamina and health would be my main issues with the contract, not his talent.

In all seriousness, I probably couldn't do a top 10 songs
I have a very eclectic mix of music that I like, and a lot of depends on mood/setting/etc. I can, however, say that it would probably be a mix of about 8-10 artists. They would almost certainly be The G Dead, Nas, Wu Tang, Biggie, Phish, Wilco, The Hold Steady, Talking Heads, and I don’t have my FauxPod so I am forgetting some. It’s hard for me to make any playlist without including at least one song from each of these.

My hastily thrown together list not in any particular order:
1) Cold War Kids – We used to vacation
2) Alice in Chains – Rotten Apple
3) Pearl Jam – Alive
4) Beck – Where it’s at
5) The Who – Reign O’er Me
6) Led Zepplin – Immigrant Song
7) Pink Floyd – Echoes
8) Stone Temple Pilots – Plush
9) Modest Mouse – Trailer Trash
10) Against Me! – Turn those clapping hands into angry balled fists
I would choose many of the songs/groups you guys have already done, but wanted to keep it fresh. This list could go on for days.
Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found
a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up
that much.
