Nov 20 LHP Scott Kazmir was not healthy during the 2008 season, according to unnamed scouts. They feel the elbow injury that shut down his spring training and forced him to miss the first month of the season either did not completely heal or resurfaced in June and prevented Kazmir from throwing his slider.
Pretty much just clarifying Kazmir's troubles.

No way trading Kazmir is a good idea..
That would be selling low on the kid.
2-21-08 $338 on the Rays to win the Pennant at 95:1 = $32,448. -bet placed by the new Matt Garza Fan Club Preisdent.
meanwhile..
as much as I like em, trading Jax and Sonny would be selling high.

Selling high would be trading Edwin, who's likely overvalued.
Sonny is a good pitcher who won’t be properly valued by other teams.

you know..
I love Sonny. I even named my turtle after him. I would be content going into 2009 with him in the rotation.
Still..there were enough indications during the year that suggested this will be the most productive season we will ever get from him.

Such as..
the amount of hits per inning pitched and those spurts where he would give up a bunch of long balls.
He does provide a different look from our power guys in the rotation. We may be a better team with him.

All indications from a statistical point of view indicate that Sonny's better than his 2008 ERA
His K/9 is solid, his walk-rate is exceptional. RJ’s posted his tRA info ad nauseum. He’s likely a #2/3 going forward.

Stuff like this makes me giggle
Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found
a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up
that much.

I'd be up for some sort of Sonny ERA bet with anyone.
Edwin Jackson, too.

There's nothing in your mod log.
Are you sure you posted it?

I want more details
Did it heal before the end of the year? If not, is it going to heal during the offseason, does he have to have surgery? A quick Fantasy news blurb at this level of detail citing ‘unnamed scouts’ literally could mean that they got this information off this site. It’s worthless.
This gets the DUH Award of 2008 for most obvious "news" article of the year.
