post-post season softball pt 2

A number of us here at DRaysBay expressed interest in playing a softball game to get together and meet some of the people we already know face-to-face. So this thread is to discuss such a meeting.

So here's the deal:

I had thought about Fossil Park, but apparently we would need some sort of insurance to use a baseball field because of the pitchers mound (retarded, but they have to cover their asses) however softball fields are all good.

Woodlawn Park has a number of softball fields that we can reserve for 10 dollars an hour. (+ 15/hour if we use the lights)

The only other question is when to do it. Hence a poll.

I'll check on Thursday morning, and whichever has the most votes is when I'll reserve a field for.

I voted Saturday, Nov. 15th, but things are getting kinda hairy for me at this point and I need to bow out completely from this for the time being. The fall may not be the best time to try to pull this off.

I'll play. I'll play poorly but I figure my buddy Sam will make up for it.

You might have heard of him. He really likes “Octoberfest” this time of year. I’m thinking he might bring 11 more of his friends who like the same thing. I usually meet up with them at total wine over on dale mabry on weekends.
