Power versus AVG
Not sure where to find this....
But have they ever ran numbers to see which would be a more productve lineup..
example:
9 hitters with .250 AVG and 30 HRS (like Adum Dunn)
or
9 hitters with .300 AVG and 10 HRS (like Ichiro)
the rest here is just filler to get to 75 words...merry christmas, happy new year ... go rays ... uhm ... uhm ... feliz navidad. So I need eleven more words to get to seventy five

Batting Average doesn't correlate to anything.
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
You'd need to throw on-base into the equation to get an answer
As well as total power (i.e. slugging as opposed to home runs). Getting to your idea though, generally if there’s that big of a difference in power, the team with more power would score more runs.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
But like you said, you'd need OBP in there too
Because if you had Ichiro and lets say Tony Batista circa. 2002, the team of Ichiro’s would score more runs.
Tools Whore
Sign Bonds!
WOW!!!! I was looking at some other years of Batista.
He hit 26 home runs in 03’ and didn’t even slug .400! That’s amazing to me.

Sign Bonds!
For someone who values defense so much you sure do underrate Brignac.
Or something like that.
