"Jason Giambi's reps are asking teams about a three-year deal, which would seem to be a tough get in the current market. "

On paper, Bobby Abreu would be a perfect fit for the Rays, if the price fell into their range

Jason Giambi will not be getting a 3 year deal.

Book it.

Jon Garland, pleasepleaseplease accept arbitration. Your mad iNNiNgZ eAtEr sKiLLz will be greater exemplified in next year's free agent class. kthxbai.

You know I was just thinking the same thing

2 + 1 = 25M. Put the buyout around 3 for the option.

Anyway, as I was lying in the puddle, I think I may have found
a way for us to get Bonds and Griffey, and we wouldn't have to give up
that much.

Giambi's 37

He’s insane if he thinks he’s getting a three year deal

Is it really?

I mean, DHing for 3 years?

How many people STILL want Bonds around here?

Count me in

Are you guys going to ask questions or do you want to see me hit some dingers?

Bonds ... :(

Different bodies age differently. Look at the numbers. Bonds was doing in his 40s what Giambi was doing in his late 30s.

And, even then, Bonds on a 1 year deal wouldn’t hurt nearly as much if he tanked as Giambi on a 3 year deal. I don’t think anyone really wanted Bonds for more than a year.

Jon Garland, pleasepleaseplease accept arbitration. Your mad iNNiNgZ eAtEr sKiLLz will be greater exemplified in next year's free agent class. kthxbai.
