This won't hurt

While i'm not one of these people who gloat at others misfortunes, although tough when it's the Red Sox, this certainly won't hurt the Rays

Sources told the Boston Globe that Curt Schilling will be out at least through the All-Star break even if he declines to undergo shoulder surgery.

The Globe reports that Schilling will follow the Red Sox's wishes and opt for rehab over surgery for a partially torn rotator cuff. Schilling has so far refused to comment, though there are whispers that he's contemplating retirement. One sources told the the Sox raised the possibility that Schilling would forfeit his contract if he proceeded to have surgery without their permission, and there were indications that the dispute has led to strained feelings between the parties.
