Jim Rome

http://www.jimrome.com/home/articles/article.html

It is nice to see some national press taking the right side on this issue.

>>Crashing into the catcher a few days was good, hard-nosed baseball. What you did yesterday, was "bush".

Yes it was, Jim. Yes it was...

>>And that's why the Jonny Gomes ran all the way in from right field and was the first guy looking for a piece of you, which I loved!

and

>>I never thought I'd say it; but the Rays have already set the tone for their season. They play hard, they have each other's backs and I love it.

I'm not a "clone" but it is good to see some support!

Re: Jim Rome
Clone here... I'm glad he was praising us because I was getting pissed at him during the Bonds rumors.

Kept getting emails from the clones like this:

"Rome,

I think its a great idea for Bonds to go to the Rays.

-Hakeem Olajuan the raptor
-Patrick Ewing of the Magic
-John Elway the Chief
-etc."

Funny, but not the same.

Re: Jim Rome
I would never cite Rome to support my point. He uses only testicular reasoning.

Re: Jim Rome
Hey, I just turned on the AM for a drive to pick up lunch. When I heard the lead subject was the Rays, I listened. Pleasantly surprised that it positive... just thought I would pass it on to the board.

In addition to this, also saw something on CNN. Wolf Blitzer shows several AP photos each night. He had a picture of a Rays player getting high fives. Guess what? It wasn't Jonny Gomes! It was Weber after his homerun. Personally, I would not be shocked to see the Rays become the darling of national press this year...

Re: Jim Rome
Gonna take winning for that to really develop - then you'll be the scrappy little Rays. "They'll sting ya!" Oh that's right - it's sunshine now. "They'll burn ya!"?

Re: Jim Rome
Sorry gavind. I did not mean for it to appear that I was criticizing your post. I was simply responding to the reference to Rome. As a matter of fact, I heard him comment as well (and like you listened because it was about the Rays) and was glad to hear what he said as irritating as I find him.

Re: Jim Rome
This has nothing to do with this post, however who was the QB that Rome verbally insulted and what did he say?
