Sweep Prognosis
From Eric Wilbur, Boston.com sports @sshat...
It’s exciting all right; a young team annually destined for the dregs of the division may finally have something to play for. But when a three-games-above-.500 mark is your franchise’s crowning achievement thus far, well, sorry that just sucks.

The actual spirity of his article wasn't that bad
He essentially says that the Rays are a dynamic young team, they’re getting better, their young players will ensure that they are doormats no longer, blah, blah, blah, blah. What I don’t get is why he feels the need to spend a large amount of space emphasizing the fact that the Devil Rays of the past ten years have sucked. He’s not exactly breaking new ground there, and I don’t get his point in continually reinforcing that fact. He seems to only use it to comfort himself as to the Red Sox’s superiority, which he does somewhat more straightforwardly elsewhere in that article. Overall, yes. He’s an asshat, but the point of his column was correct. These aren’t your older brother or sister’s Devil Rays.

You're in Orlando!
Don’t you have anything better to do than hang out on the Net?
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

I don't speak for PLK, but...
You have no idea how boring Orlando can be for a resident.

Yeah, I sort of got that feeling
Just having gone there so many times, it’s really the theme parks and little else. And that’s great if you’re a theme park enthusiast, but I’m really not. I got stuck in a supplementary hotel for the convention, right around SeaWorld. There is really nothing you can walk to from there if you aren’t going to SeaWorld, so I had a lot of dead time. I really disliked the area I was in not being walkable at all.
