MVP

Sonny comes up huge tonight.

Hopefully Sonny becomes the first Ray to ever win 4 games in April

MVP: Sonny

He’ll have a big day

by SaberToothedPie on Apr 30, 2008 6:07 PM EDT   0 recs

btw

Has anyone else notice Pena’s painfully Low Line Drive average of 11%? Ouch.

by SaberToothedPie on Apr 30, 2008 6:09 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Yep, that's one of the reasons he's struggling.

My Prediction

We will bust through in a big way on offense. I’m no pitching coach, but it can’t be easy to move out of the bullpen and start on 2 days rest after having thrown in back-to-back games.

by GomesSweetGomes on Apr 30, 2008 6:11 PM EDT   0 recs

Hope Sonny has a big game.

Baltimore needs to get Sonnanstined.

by jacksontsmith on Apr 30, 2008 6:19 PM EDT   0 recs

FYI

Ever Since “Go Rays” at the end of the game day threads has had only one ”!” we haven’t had a six game win streak.

by gatorbait on Apr 30, 2008 6:21 PM EDT   0 recs

Fair enough

I re-typed it with less exclamation points for a GDT awhile ago, but for luck’s sake I’ll add more exclamation points.

by Patrick L. Kennedy on Apr 30, 2008 6:24 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

if sonny pitches a good game and they DFA hammel or jackson, what are the odds tehy get picked up and who do you think would take a chance?

by websterjtc on Apr 30, 2008 6:26 PM EDT   0 recs

100%

by the first team who could claim either one.

Theres absolutely zero chance we DFA Jackson or Hammel and risk losing either one of them for nothing.

by Vin on Apr 30, 2008 6:32 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

who has first pick at the waiver? marlins?

by websterjtc on Apr 30, 2008 6:37 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Whoever has the second pick in the draft

I’m not sure who the second worst record last year.

by Vin on Apr 30, 2008 6:39 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

The Pirates are #2

So yes, they would jump all over Jackson/Hammel. No question.

by Vin on Apr 30, 2008 6:40 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I dunno

They don’t jump on every pitcher we DFA

Passing on Medlock

Acceptable. But theres no way they would pass on those two.

by Vin on Apr 30, 2008 7:02 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Wow the Mariners suck

via Rotoworld

Clement and Balentien only needed to stay in the minors for another week to guarantee that they wouldn’t be eligible for free agency until after 2013.

Norton gets (DFA’d) despite going 7-for-16 with four RBI during his time with the Mariners. Miguel Cairo, who is 0-for-5 after four weeks, gets to keep his spot.

OT: The St. Petersburg Bowl at The Trop

http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=803254

Big East vs. C-USA

There once was a day when going to a bowl actually meant something. Now all you have to do is finish with a .500 record.

I guess this guarantees a spot for USF and UCF should they finish 6-6 or better.

Longlorious.

It should be a rule

that he’s not allowed to swing until AFTER strike 1

by Vin on Apr 30, 2008 7:12 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I wouldn't mind that...

but I’m sure he’d whine that we’re taking his stylish freedom away.

Everytime he hacks on the first pitch, he owes Maddon 1,000 dollars.

I really hope we don’t show up much on BBTN…

I like it when they think we’re jokes, not like any of them on the show could get a job in the majors anyways….ouch, yet true.

Isn’t that what he’s done this year to get in trouble?
