MVP: Todd Kalas
Back in the Trop again, Kalas will be ready to dominate his home court.

Eh...
My first MVP pick...I like a longshot for #1: MVP Bartlett
Futures
Just got back from Vegas where I was able to plop down $20 on the Rays to win the World Series. Yeah, they are long shots to win it all but the Stratosphere Sports Book was giving 150:1 odds, so I had to take it. Most Casinos had odds anywhere from 75 to 100:1 and The Rio actually had 60:1.
vr, Xeifrank
Yep, they've been seen around pubs quite a bit.

Best Alstott Story
I seen him pulling a jeep with a vest and chain(great way to build leg strength in football, using a vest with hooks and chains) in Joliet back when he was attending Purdue.
Together that is.

Wanna know how to win this one?
Hit the ball in the air to left field, or tap it up the firstbase line.
No one will catch it/

Well, I think
Riggans pretty much cemented himself as the catcher on this team....
Let's hope Navi continues to hit, or else we're going to be pondering a platoon of Jaso and Riggo in the future.
No
Navi will be the starter when he is healthy

healthy...
I'd test Navi's mitochondria, seeing as he's another guy who has a ton of fluke injuries.
I heard that Rollins had 10k in Vero

So, when a pitcher gets pulled
We're going to put in Dohmann?????
Howell is a starter, just got odd-manned out.
it's his arm, I know it is, his control was shot
"Baseball fans are junkies, and their heroin is the statistic." - Robert S. Weider
We are the cursed team in the AL.
Dohmann in to start Howell later
Shields, Sonnanstine, Jackson, Hammel, Howell.
This does not rock!
Unless you are forced to use Edwin Jackson as your No. 3 starter
In which case you are not at all stronger.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet
"Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me." -Dusty Baker on OBP
The announcers on the Mariners broadcast said that the roadblock to new stadium is that they can't find anyone to pay for it.
Man
Tough crowd, seeing as part of the reason Safeco Field is around is because of the Nintendo Wii.
Well, that is the main roadblock
The diversion of tax revenue is the sticking point in the project. If the Rays were willing to finance the stadium on the waterfront, the deal would sail forward. Sure, some people might object to giving them a lease on city parkland, but most of the legitimate criticisms have to do with $$$.

Wait, wait, wait
Who is the PC for Seattle?
Why is Bedard in with 92 pitches thrown? Don't they know he's prone to oblique strains?
Oh well, it'd be ironic if both Bedard and Garza pull themselves out of games.
Note
We shouldn't be making it easier for Bedard's pitch count to inch closer to 100, yet him be able to pitch another inning. Should be 1 batter, not all 3....
That's our CC
You sure you really want to stay with us?

Such is the perils of gameday threads
If you want an active gameday community, you will need to put up with knee-jerk reactions and gratuitous cursing. It happens everywhere, and quite frankly I don't think people are going overboard.
It should be minimized, obviously, and it shouldn't be commonplace in non-gameday threads, but I have no problem with it here in the amount people have been using it.
