WORST DEVIL RAYS/RAYS
A couple of days ago I wrote a blog about whose your favorite Devil Ray/Ray, and I got alot of great comments and answers. So I thought I'd follow it up Rays fans with whose the worst Devil Ray/Ray. It's very hard for me to choose who could be the worst Devil Ray/Ray (cough Elijah Dukes) since I love this team like a child, but I know some of you out there have an opinion, and honestly Rays fans are really the smartest baseball fans I know, so lets hear your answers.
Anyways I know who could NOT be on this list and that is James Shields... that man is a BAMF. GO RAYS!

Where to begin...
Everyone has their own favorite… to dislike, hate, hiss, or just thrown random objects at.
I have different re3asons for disliking each person.
There is Roberto Alomar who signed a contract only to retire but stay under contract.
There is Ben Grieve who came in on one of the worst three-way trades I have ever seen. It was the trade that Sent Johnny Daemon to Boston.
Kevin Stocker is a good one, he blames Tampa Bay for ending career. To think the price was a nobody named Bobby Abreu. Go figure right?
Jesus Colome is another one. Mainly because he quit on the Rays in few games, during the inning. Case in point, the Rays were playing the Reds in Cinci and getting killed. Colome acted like his leg was bothering him. I did not like that guy.
Juan Guzman is another guy who took the money and ran. Speak of which Vinny Cash-stealer… or Castilla.
That pretty much sums up my list of the wall of shame….

Actually, that trade sent Damon to the A’s.. then he became a free agent at the end of the year and signed with Boston.
In retrospect, the A’s won that trade in a landslide in that they got Damon for the stretch run and playoffs, as well as Mark Ellis (Royals) and Cory Lidle (D’Rays). But at the time, we were able to dump the large contract of Roberto Hernandez on the Royals and get what had been a quality hitter and former ROY who many thought would be even better away from Oakland’s stadium. Grieve was certainly very disappointing, but not the terrible scapegoat most (apparently including Piniella) made him out to be.
Longlorious.

Ben Grieve is up there...
...but I truly came to loathe last year’s bullpen, as no matter whose name was called I considered them one crappy entity.

Worst of all
Has to be Jose Guillen, hands down. The D’Rays should’ve sued him for impersonating an athlete.

Bobby Abreau
The Kevin Stocker trade was arranged before the expansion draft. The Rays weren’t interested in Bobby Abreau so Philly’s offer of a serviceable shortstop to begin the inaugural season made perfect sense. Stocker was the D-Rays best option at the time.

Anyone that pitched in our Bullpen before last year
I know we had several reliable relievers in the past but it got to the point for me that when the starters we done pitching, the tv went off unless we were up by 3 or more.
Ben Grieve was also worthless.

Man, nobody likes Grieve.
He wasn’t that bad.

The Hit Show!
Either Vinny Castilla or Greg Vaughn…
Ben Grieve isn’t far behind along with Wilson Alvarez.

Dewon Brazelton was awful…...probably the worst ever in MLB
