was at the Elementary School I went to as a kid today for the ‘Take Jonny to School.’ I also do the after school care there during the summer. The kids said he was cool, but a little shy, which surprised me. Jonny now has a bunch of 5th grade girls in love with him. They all got his autograph and got Aki sweatbands. The kids loved it.

The scout I talked to - before I burned him in my sabermetrics lab of course - who saw him the Cape Cod league said he was a “big time can’t miss” and that his bat “is legit”.

Meaning he’ll bust and hit for an OPS of .696 in the Majors.

He was rounding second on a fly ball he thought was going to drop, it didn’t, and when he tried to stop it looked like he hyperextended his left knee or messed up his foot.
