Zobrist Activated, Cannizaro DFA

The Rays have activated Ben Zobrist from the 15-day DL and designated Andy Cannizaro for assignment (not optioned him to Durham).
Cannizaro had only one plate appearance in his time with the Rays, grounding out to end the Rays’ May 3 loss at Boston.
I can only hope RJ has already gone to sleep and won't see this. Poor little feller.

Say it ain’t so! See ya later Canni. Maybe you clear waivers and we can find a spot for you in Durham. OK, so the guy doesn’t put up Jeter numbers, but I think one can always find a spot your organiztion for a hard working guy like Cannizaro.
