What the bloody hell is this about

In the know, in the Times

This is the same Tom Jones that a week or two ago said, and I quote "If the Twins offered me Delmon Young for Jason Bartlett and Matt Garza  I'd think about it, for two seconds."

Yes, just Delmon for both, now this? I don't know, perhaps I expect too much, but do w really need a huge feature on the history of the Yankees? How about a feature on how Mitch Lukevics helped build the Yanks and how he hopes to do the same for the Rays? I'd read that, but I wish I wouldn't have read this.

Really

Come on, the Rays have been in existence for ten years and now is the time he chooses to write this article? After the team has won seven of eight and ten straight at home?

You avoided the "It's not unusual" jokes?

What the bloody hell is this about?

Id say in most other towns outside of Boston, an article like that would be mostly appropriate when the Yankees come into town, if not just a little on the edge of showing too much love for the opposing team. In Tampa I think it is definitely showing too much love for a team that shouldn’t be acknowledged in such a bortherly tone by our sports media. It is a known fact that this community caters to New Yorkers, and for a still young and growing franchise in the thick of that battle, trying to win over transplants, I think it should’ve been clear not to go in the “yankee lovin’ ” direction at this time

I liked how "Had songs written about him." qualified his statement.

I’m going to write a song about Cannizaro one day.
