In the Name of Shinji Mori, we shall win!

by thebaddancingraysfan on May 15, 2008 3:27 PM EDT reply actions

Oh to answer a question posted last night.

I go to every game I can go to, but I work nights from 3-12a, 5-130a, 630-3a. I have currently gone to three Rays games this year, 2 spring training games. Last year I went to 26 home games, and 4 road games. In 2006 I went 41 home games and 11 road games. I have been to at least 20 home games a year and I go to at least one of the Marlins-Rays games in Ft. Lauderdale. Furthermore, I also try to get out see the minor leaguers play whether it be in Montgomery, Jacksonville, Vero, Clearwater, Tampa or even Princeton.

Thank you for your concern. Go Rays!

In the Name of Shinji Mori, we shall win!

Were you playing with a pick-up rule?

If not, you may want to consider it to make the game more fun for yourself and those around you. I always pick up when i double par on a hole. No shame.

it’s showing Kaz as throwing 88-90 MPH fastballs. Is that slow for him?

Yes

But so is Kennedy; I think Gameday’s guns are off a tad.

Wow

The Yankee lineup tonight features 3 hitters with sub-.200 averages, including Giambi in the number 4 slot and Duncan in the 5 slot. That’s just ridiculous.

We’ve got so much outfield depth right now, though, it’s ridiculous. And anyway, I think he’s overrated and some team is going to pay through the roof for him.

The proper response would have been

even if they score 7 runs a game, Isringhausen will give up 8.

by JI on May 15, 2008 6:02 PM EDT up reply actions

Less shitty then he did in Seattle.

But the guy’s not good: last year was a fluke and he’s nothing more than a competant long reliever.

by JI on May 15, 2008 6:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Well...

Larussa has to pull something out of his hat again for the bullpen

Mound Visit

by Mound Visit on May 15, 2008 6:11 PM EDT up reply actions

McClellan is pretty freakin good

but he’s about 10 years too young for LaRussa’s tastes

Springer is decent if he’s healthy

Franklin can throw strikes, but he’s pretty much at the mercy of the OF defense / fences

after that it’s a big pile of NO GOD NOT HIM

by JI on May 15, 2008 6:15 PM EDT up reply actions

bad ERA

Dave Duncan never liked him

by JI on May 15, 2008 6:26 PM EDT up reply actions

He got destoyed with runners on base last year

but otherwise was acceptable.

He pitches up in the zone, Dave Duncan doesn’t think he’s throws hard enough to get away with that, Reyes disagrees.

by JI on May 15, 2008 6:27 PM EDT up reply actions

I remember reading an article

And every point Duncan made that would seemingly make Reyes the wrong choice was countered with a fact that showed he was, in fact, talking out of his ass.
