grrrr
Not that we’ll be able to watch it.
Interesting, Eveland and Sonny have identical WHIPs. I smell a regression to the mean for the A’s pitcher.

I’ve had the same argument all year. Half the games are on FSN which is not carried by Bright House in Orlando. Half the games are at home which is blacked out on MLB.tv. I watch religiously and end up having to Gameday it (which I am starting to lean more towards as the pitch cam is super awesome, and they now have video clips minutes after RT), but obviously watching it live is where it’s at. I get out of work at 5 so I could not possibly get to the Trop for first pitch. I am sure this is the plight of 1,000s of other people in Orlando. We need solutions from the clowns in charge.

DirecTV is your friend
Barring that, you should be able to get Comcast, or you’ll have to wait for AT&T U-verse.

My guess is that because their TV deal is worth much more than thier internet deal
so making the games available over the net undermines their bottom line.
STILL, you think on days where they games are not available in the home market it would make sense for them to unblock the games, they could make even more money is people are buying cable and mlbtv.

The stated policy
Is to protect advertising revenue for the local carriers, and to encourage fans to come to the park. But on away games when there is no home TV provider, it makes zero sense…they have been very slow in reviewing their policy

Based on the level of security
(or lack thereof) I think the policy is much more about MLB saving face should a local TV station sue them for lost revenue streams.

Also
While there is no doubt MLB makes more revenue off of their TV deals than the internet, they probably make a much higher profit margin over the internet. They are selling a product that a third party has actually paid them for the right to create, and all they pay for is the bandwidth.

I use it
to get around FOX blackouts, or local blackouts when I am somewhere where there’s no access to cable. It might have been based on billing at one time, but it is now based on IP address.

How bout that loser with the whistle last night.
That had to be the most annoying thing I have heard during a game. It sounded like a fire alarm going off for 3 hours. How could the people around that tool not beat his ass?

The cowbells are used in certain moments when the crowd is loud anyhow
Like two-strike counts or certain clutch situations, the whistle was non-stop.

Gomes is being played like a veteran at the end of his career.
He is a young guy with a lot to offer. Will he hit .280? Probably not. Could he hit 40 home runs. I could see that. Either use him or waive and let Ruggiano play.

Seeing as he has 1188 career AB's
and 382 K’s, its ridiculously far-fetched. He’s striking out a lot this year…ill give you that. But you’re getting ridiculous with your Gomes criticisms.

I think we should get rid of Gross and bring Ruggs back up.
Today would be a perfect opportunity for him. Righties are hitting over .300 against Everland. But, he sits in Durham collecting dust.
