Shocking News.
Oh god that is bad.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Hopefully his family is ok and may our prayers be with them.
Though he was not a good player
but any news of a passing is sad news.

Wow
That is shocking. It’s so odd to think back to 2003 and recall that two of that year’s five starting pitchers, including the Opening Day starter, are dead. That’s pretty sad. Gonzalez gave us a decent 2003, it’s just so sad that he could be dead within five years. I’m just saddened by the loss.

Isn't his name spelled Jeremi?
At least thats what I remember it being, maybe I am wrong…either way it is quite sad and wish his family the best

looked it up and it is Geremi
Apparently he went be Jeremi til 2006 when he was with the Brewers, where he then told the team his named had been misspelled all of this time.

I thought it was Jeremi too
And that’s what he was called with the Rays. It is interesting that he waited that long to correct the spelling though.
