Price for Pujols
This just might be the greatest thing ever:
Ronald (Tampa, Fla): Sports talk radio in Tampa has been blowing up with a trade rumor involving David Price and Albert Pujols. Would either team really wanna do that deal?
SportsNation Keith Law: (2:20 PM ET ) Sports talk radio, proving there is no floor.
That's not going to happen -- especially since it would take at least Chris Perez and Colby Rasmus to make this deal even...
Also Keith Law (and myself) are partaking in a mock draft ran by the FutureBird guys, you can follow along here. I'm actually taking the Diamondbacks because Law got the Rays and took Buster Posey.

Interesting
Pujols on this team would make it the world series favorite. Frankly with our pitching depth in the minors (and majors) a trade like that would make us the favorite for the next few years at minimum. Pujols isn’t exactly an old guy.

Upton/Pena/Pujols/Bonds
That’s my 1-4.

As good as Pena is
Pujols would be a significant offensive upgrade (at least over C-Los’ current offensive production) and he’s no slouch on defense, either.
That deal is as likely to happen...
as me going home and finding Alyssa Milano in my be with nothing on but an unbuttoned Rays jersey.
Mrs. Collette is cool with it
Alyssa is on the exemption list just as I cannot get mad to come home and find Mike Rowe in my house

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Let’s give up 6 years of Price for a guy that’s going to follow the same path as Jeff Bagwell and his arm problems. We could spend the $14 Mill that Fat Albert makes and use it to plug RF, DH, and the bench. We Are One Team!

Bagwell's arm problems
Were shoulder related – not elbow related.

I just meant throwing problems in general.
Though he could always DH of course.

I liked this zinger from my boy KLaw
Aaron B. (Novato, Calif.): Any thoughts on Paul DePodesta’s latest blog entry regarding the Padres’ trade for Cha Seung Baek?
SportsNation Keith Law: I can’t find his blog. TJ Simers told me the URL was spreadsheets.google.com but I don’t see a blog there.

Obviously.
The weirdest part is that nobody knows what the hell he’s even talking about, there’s not a radio show out there that was discussing this.

LMAO you think we could a) obtain the greatest hitter of all time by trading 1 player who hasnt played above single A ,and b) you think they would have to give us their next 2 best prospects to make it “even”? LOL!!!!!!!!! riiiiiiiiiiiiight

And to think, at work today I was actually writing a response of what I thought would it actually would take to trade for Pujols just for S&G. I think the principles were us giving up Crawford, Price, and E-Jax for Pujols plus each team throwing in a mid-level minor leaguer. I’m ultimately glad I stayed far way from this thread.
