This Hurts Me More Than It Hurts You
Some people apparently think I was serious about my post yesterday saying it would take more than just Pujols to get Price, including these nice folk. To make it clear I'm just going to post this image.

The emails are hilarious, and something I've realized with this and the MetsGeek "RaysGeek" thing is people really don't get sarcasm in text.
Awesome.
See that's sarcasm.

What a suprise a newspaper message board
The real question is who is more stupid. The people who post on newspaper message boards or those who post on the official team website message boards.
Newpaper/Team Message Boards
We all post on a message board of sorts. The people here just tend to be better informed. I love reading the arguments on tampabay.com after every New Rays Staduim story. Some of the arguments from both sides are just absurd and baseless.
Honestly though,
10+ years of Price or 2, 3 years of Pujols (DOMINICAN BIRTH CERTIFICATE)

My favorite emails thus far:
On your blog about Pujols for Prince (I never even heard of the guy). So, they state that it would take Pujols (the greatest hitter of all time) for a guy I have never heard of…..is baseball that foreign to you guys in FL…man, they need to pull that franchise from that embarrasing fanbase (the 2000 people that go to the game)....people actually think that it would happen and you would get Perez and Rasmus…stick to another sport….baseball is not your expertise….Thanks,
Dave

Person who knows about baseball: never heard of the league’s top draft pick.
Person who doesn’t know about baseball: does, and even knows about other teams draft picks.
Yep, makes sense.
(Hint: that was sarcasm)

do you really think the cardinals would trade Pujols and perez for a kid playing in A ball?the devil rays would have to trade half their team for Pujols. let’s be serious, thinking some kid will get one of best in baseball is ludicrous, if not laughable.
honestly, let’s think about this. to get pujols, tampa would have to deal:
2 stud young pitchers, 2 stud prospects(infield), 1 stud young outfield prospect. that would be the starting price if i was the cards GM.
let’s be serious again, this isn’t David wright or Delgado were talking about, were talking about the games best player(ok, him and Arod). A guy who plays through major pain, and plays virtually everyday and puts up MVP numbers, regardless of who the cards put out there in the lineup.
man, you guys get a little success and your heads are clouded.

Did they really just compare David Wright and Carlos Delgado?
Hypothetically speaking, though, I would rather trade for Wright than Pujols. Yes, Pujols is great, but David Wright will most likely fast supplant him as the league’s best player. Of course, we don’t really need a 3b at the moment, but yeah.

Dear Lord...
I guess they do not teach much grammar in the Show Me State. Show me a capital letter, show me a sentence that is not a run-on, show me the proper use of punctuation.
It doesn't.
Most Cardinals fans are intelligent folk from what I’ve seen, but every population has its outliers.
