Bring on June
19-10 in May and we end it with a Kazmir 7 inning 3 hit performance and one of the cheapest saves I've ever seen. 2 pitches, one 95 mile per hour fastball later, and Grant Balfour is officially back on the Rays and with his first career save at that. So much for "easing him back in".

Congrats Scottie
for his fifth victory in May—a Rays record for wins in a month.

Can you find Rocco?
I think I see him upper left… either that or Sean Connery is a Rays fan.

You know, I recall mentioning in an earlier thread that I think was related to Shields’ 1 hit shutout earlier this year that I thought Shields was the ace of this staff, and not Kazmir.
I’d just like to point out that I was dead wrong. Kaz is mowing everyone down right now, he looks completely dominating, and he’s still not going out there with his best stuff. I love Shields, but damn it Kazmir doesn’t look unbeatable right now.
My remaining concerns
The only things that concern me at this point are:
1 I think Carl Crawford is hurt. The reason why I believe this is because the last few nights he’s had to make sliding catches and is favoring his right leg and coming up wincing. He’s also not stealing bases in situations where it’s obvious that not only should he, but if he was right, would be able to. 2 If We’re going to win this division or get the wild-card spot, we need to creep a little over .500 on the road. Boston is a Jeckel/Hyde group right now home vs. road, but that will probably straighten out, and Toronto is winning on the road and appears to finally have gotten their offense up and running. We’ve got a pretty nasty road trip coming up with series against Boston, Texas, and the Halos, we need to try to come out 5-4 or better, preferrably taking 2 out of 3 from Boston and Anaheim. This road trip is one where the wheels could very easily come off the season if the Rays go out there and lose 7 of 9, which can very easily happen against those teams. Hoping the Rays can take the series tomorrow, but hoping more that we don’t go out there afterwards and get mowed down on the road.RAYS TEAM GO!!!
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; but if a thing is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.
