I Don't Really Care
Who cares if the Red Sox swept the Rays? I sure as hell don't. Scott Kazmir's record last season was 13-9. He's bound to lose games here and there. I for one was at least happy to see him back in the rotation, and he certainly is a good complement to Shelds. I think the Rays definitley have a good recipe of one-two punch starters much like Boston with Beckett and Matsuzaka. Pena running home by the third basemen certainly was a little hearbreaking, but hey the Rays get men on base and that's all you can ask for. Their getting much more patient in the batter's box as well (evdence of the Orioles series last week). And the bullpen is shall I say... AWESOME! Red Sox fans can boo and hiss and say the Rays suck and always will suck, I really don't care. I've been with this franchise since day one and I thinkl I speak for all the Rays fans when I say "we're tough skin S.O.B.'s." We've had alot of heartbreak and I know I've sworn alot, but we've had alot of good things happen as well (we got Kaz, Shelds, Longoria, Crawford, and hey Hinske is palying the best he's ever played since his early days in Toronto). I'm not worried and no one in the Rays fan base should be. We've got a great team on the field, a fantastic manager, young/hungry players, and a chance to show the world that we can win more than 70 games this season.
Hey also I'm putting together a book of great Rays moments for my American Culture Class at George Mason Univiersity. I have to pick something American obviously and write about it. I just wanted to know what some of the greatest Devil Rays/Rays moments you guys have and maybe want to share. Peace and GO RAYS!

No question
Carl Crawford’s Opening Day walkoff in 2003. Without a doubt my favorite moment in Rays history.

Eduardo Perez home run
That was awesome.
A couple years ago they came back against the Red Sox and Navarro it a home run of Papelbon (it shut the fans up so quickly) and Norton hit the game winner in the 11th I think
CC stealing home against the Red Sox.
Top Josh Paul Pornos- Big Navy Stroking, 2pitchers1cup, BJ to the Balls
The Perez home run was awesome
And it’s a shame, because I was really close to going to that game too. Crawford stealing home was an exciting moment, as was the Norton walk off.
It seems to me that a disproportionate share of our greatest moments have come against the Red Sox.

Yeah, obviously I’d love for the Rays to win every series, but there is no shame in losing to the defending world champs.
At any rate, the team will have to put that rough series behind them and focus on the Blue Jays, who have won five straight and been pitching lights-out (1.3 avg. runs allowed in the last nine games).
Last nine games—runs allowed by Toronto:
2 (vs. Royals)
2 (vs. Royals)
1 (vs. Red Sox)
2 (vs. Red Sox)
0 (vs. Red Sox)
0 (vs. White Sox)
2 (vs. White Sox)
3 (vs. White Sox)
0 (vs. White Sox)
Longlorious.

Pena was right to run home
im confused, why would we have held Pena at 3rd? There was 1 out and bases loaded and we had a fly out to LF. If we hold Pena at 3rd we have 2 outs and likely get nothing out of the rally. You have to send Pena there and make Manny throw him out. You are down by 2 runs, against a tough pitcher, and you have to try and get that run home in that situation with 2 outs. It was the obvious call. I dont really get the monday morning QBing being done on this move
How about the Rays 12 game win steak in 2004?
A lot of people forget, but the Rays were 40-38 in early July that year.
