Rays Vs. Astros
In my years of being a Rays fan, I have never been more proud. It is just purely a sweet dream hearing the recognition on the radio and television. That being said, I hope the Rays do not become lackadaisical. I fully hope they continue to build on the collateral they built.
So, I want here from you Rayniacs, what do you think is going to happen vs the Houston Astros?
Houston brings a staff of names that some may know because alot of the same names have made it to the playoffs. The same names have let the Astros to a 8-game losing streak.
Sound off what do you think is going to happen?
Let's go kick some Astros! Go Rays! Go Rays! Go Rays!
God I am proud to be a Rays fan!

torn allegiances for me
I grew up in Houston and my son is named after Nolan Ryan, but there is no doubt I’ll be yelling for the Rays all night long. Houston is in a freefall right now. Their best shot at winning is with Oswalt tonight.

I think we may have a letdown game tonight, but at worst we take 2 of 3
I’ll be there Friday and Saturday

that's where a good manager should come in.
It’s a manager’s duty to pick you up when you are down and to deflate you when you are up.
The Astros have speed, but have been inconstant as of late at the plate.
In the name of Sinji Mori, we shall win!

No Pessimism here!
The Rays will take it to Oswalt and the ‘Stros tonight. It’s tough for opposing teams to take the opener as they have the Florida night life, blonde buxom beauties by the pool, and the Sunshine State ambiance on their minds when arriving.
I haven’t read it anywhere so far, did Balfour just flat out man up and bring it to the Cubs last night or what? That’s the kind of pitching performance “sweet” Lou talks about.
Kudos to Grant for manning up.

Yes
He was good.
As far as the Stros go. They have been downright bad. Oswalt hasn’t been as good as usual this year, although if my memory serves correct, he has been better his last few starts.

The Lackadaisical thing
I don’t think the Rays can really get to that lackadaisical area, just because they will almost always be chasing the Red Sox throughout the season, I can see the Sox getting lackadaisical though.
With your powers combined, I am captain planet.

Oswalt
was very good tonight. That 70 mph curve was a terrific pitch, often followed or following a 93-95 mph fastball. An awful lot of first pitch strikes (looking) on that curve.
It is somewhat ironic to bring this up on a night that Garza struck out 8 in 6 innings, but the first inning demonstrated the problem when a pitcher does not put batters away. After 2 quick outs, Garza went to 1-2 on Tejada. But he could not finish him and Tejada hit a soft grounder that he beat out. Get that out and the inning is over, and it is a different game.
