(You beat me to it Patrick. I wrote this before opening up D-Ray Bay and read your post. I’ll put it out there anyway. Sorry for the redundancy folks.)

The Price was right. Soon after his near perfect performance against the Clearwater Thrashers, Jeremy Hellickson received a text message from his former teammate David Price congratulating him not only for the game but for the chance to be teammates again. With the recent roster moves providing enough action to make Jack Bauer proud, Jeremy Hellickson became the second D-Ray in the past 24 hrs to get his biscuit buttered with a promotion to Montgomery. David Price was promoted Saturday. (There goes that Thursday drive to Sarasota).

Sunday Hellickson was hellish in his last game in a Devil Ray uniform. Jeremy dispatched the Thrashers quickly sending 21 of the 22 batters he faced back to the bench. In 7 innings he struck out 4 and walked none allowing only a second inning double.

At VB this year Hellickson was 7-1, 2.00 ERA, 0.90 WHIP. He struck out 83 and walked only 5 in 76.2 IP.

i dont expect wade davis to get promoted to AAA untell mcgee is able to come back and that AA rotation is lights out with davis,price,hellickson,houser, and santos (i think) but when mcgee comes back i hope this just isnt a 2 start or so stay for hellboy and really hope that davis gets promoted to AAA and maybe gets called up sometime in august or early september if everything goes well but a wonderful last 2 days with price and hellickson getting promoted
