We got two more good performances from minor leaguers
deep in the system.
At Columbus, Hall went 8 innings giving up 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 BB and 8 Ks.
But the really terrific outing was by Barnese, our 19 year old at Hudson Valley. He went 7 innings of 3 hit, 0 run, 0 BB, 9 K pitching. Of the other 12 outs, 11 were on the ground!
Last year in Princeton, he had a very nice introduction to the pros. He was 2-2 with a 3.22 ERA over 9 games (8 starts) and 36.1 IP. He allowed 30 hits and just 1 home run over that span, but what I really like is that he only gave up 4 walks and had 37 Ks. Perhaps someone to keep an eye on.
