Hi, This is the Twins Calling
Can we re-do the trade from last winter? We've been thinking about this whole Delmon Young and Brendan Harris for Morlan, Garza, and Bartlett, and after Matt Garza's one hitter today we realize that we got the short end of the stick here. So, if you guys wouldn't mind doing the right thing and kindly returning the players, we would be most appreciative.
PS. You guys get Harris back who has about a 30 point OPS+ advantage over Bartlett! Think of that, a 55 back up to a 84! Whooo-wee, imagine your lineup with that slugger in there.
PPS. Please?
PPPS. Pretty please?

We can't trade Kevin Stocker back to the Phills for Bobby Abreu.
Nor can we trade Jeff Blum for Brandon Backe
Nor can we trade Nick Green for Jorge Sosa

to be honest I was rather upset when we traded Delmon for Garza.
I have since gotten over it. Have a great season up there in Twinkie-town.

I still believe in Delmon.
I think this will end up being a good trade for both teams.

I agree
This was just posted in regards to Garza’s dominance yesterday. Who knows how it’ll go down the road.

I highly doubt he ever reaches the potential every thought he had. He could become a very good player, but the twins only him under control for what like 3-4 years after this one. So they need him to figure it out pretty quick not in a couple years.

I doubt Delmon will ever be the superstar I thought he would be after his season in AA, but there’s no reason Delmon can’t still be an all-star caliber player. Kid’s still only 22. He has plenty of time to figure things out.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge this trade
People have gone back and forth on this deal from day one, and obviously as of today it looks great in our favor, but this is a giant package of young guys that have plenty of time to develop. When Garza got hurt everyone thought we got screwed, then Delmon couldnt hit a double and they got screwed, then Garza acted like a teenage girl and we got screwed, then Garza throws a one hitter and they got screwed. Lets revisit this subject two years from now.

Young:
As bad as he did start out he has been improving, his OPS+ is 90, about what it was last year, and his slugging has been rising for a while, with an obp of .326 he’s doing alright.
