My pick for future Rays starter and possible ace.....
His name is Alex Cobb. He is a Class A stud for the Columbus Catfish. Cobb was drafted in the 3rd round out of HS in the 2006 dfraft. He is 6-3 and is posting a 2.13 ERA in 63 IP. Here is a paragraph from the Columbus website:
Pitcher Alex Cobb came in billed as one of Tampa Bay's top prospects and he has not disappointed, posting a 6-3 record with a 2.13 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 63 innings. The 6 wins is a career-high for Cobb and he has held opposing hitters to a .211 batting average and sports a superb 1.03 WHIP. Cobb features a low 90's fastball and a splitter, but it is his innate feel for his curveball that sets him apart from other pitchers. Cobb's curveball is an 11-5 breaker that he can throw for a strike when behind in the count or bury in the dirt when ahead in the count to get strikeouts and weak groundballs. Cobb came to Columbus from Hudson Valley, where he was named the Hudson Valley Pitcher of the Year after leading the Renegades in innings pitched, starts and strikeout
I know he isn't going to be up for a couple years because of the unbelievable wealth of prospects that we have and also because this youngster needs to gain some experience, but I believe this guy has the stuff to be a frontline starter.

Check out the D. Price highlight reel….
Re: Cobb
I’ve been one of Cobb’s biggest supporters since he was drafted, kinda the reason why RJ occasionally refers to me as “The Crystal Ball”
Let's not forget about Chuck Tiffany
He’s crafty. 0.63 ERA .163 BAA
Horrible K/BB ratio 12/13 but he’s getting it done. He was my preseason pick to have a breakout season coming back from injury.

I'm just glad that he's back at all

Great
Cobb can take Price’s spot in Vero after Price moves to Montgomery.

In all seriousness
I’d LOVE to see how Cobb handles A+ since he would be the logical replacement for Price when he’s promoted.

My question:
What do you do with that Columbus team when Cobb is promoted? Right now the Catfish are epic FAIL. How bad will they be without him?

I don't really understand why they are so awful this season.
95% of that team was at Hudson Valley last season, and as bad as they could be, they were never THIS bad.
If you want results, press the red button. The rest are useless.
