Fox has release their newest power Ranking and Guess where the RAYS stand

2nd !!! Right behind the CUBS

A rise from the number 5 spot last week. Now it's time to make the major jump and hit the Red Sox at home. Dice -K is hitting the DL with what looks to be rotator cuff injury.

Just 4 years ago when I called Direct TV to complain that the Tiger-Drays game was blacked out (former season ticket holder now living in Fort Wayne) the customer service rep responded.......What are you a family member? Nobody is watching this game!

Not to take anything away from the Cubs

But I’m not impressed with pounding the slop teams in the NL west on a seven game homestand then beating a completely inept Padres offense on the road. Unfortunately, I think the Cubs are going to top all of the power rankings this week for their ability to pound relentlessly on the weak teams in this part of their schedule. I’ll take them seriously if they manage to win five out of six on their next road trip (Toronto and the Rays).

Not that power rankings really matter.

The Cubs are definitely benefitting from lots of home games

But then again, so are we. They are playing a less-difficult schedule, so it will be interesting to see if they keep it up, but Chicago definitely has staying power within their division. St. Louis is mediocre, Ed Wade and Drayton McLane are the only people who think the Astros are contenders, and Milwaukee has been a disappointment.
