Two things:
1) I think Navarro's high line drive percentage (over 20%) could be something that sticks with him throughout his career. With the exception of last season his LD% has topped 20% each season.
2) Gabe Gross has a good approach at the plate.

OT: Denver Post thinks Rays will trade Price if Holliday is in the deal....I say no f'n way.
Fuentes will be a free agent at season’s end. The Rockies could offer arbitration in order to get two first-round draft picks if he signs with another team.
So any trade proposal has to be better than what the Rockies believe they could get in the draft. The Rockies like Tampa Bay Double-A starters Wade Davis and Jeremy Hellickson. They would love to pry away former No. 1 overall pick David Price, a starter, but the Rays would only talk about him in a deal involving Matt Holliday. The Yankees have Double-A pitcher Mark Melancon to offer.

Iwamura...
Is having quite a season. He’s at 303/.367/.430 since May 1st. I didn’t realize he was over 4 P/PA as well. He’s earned his leadoff spot.
Just for fun:
Crawford after a 1-0 count: .300/.398/.527
Crawford after a 0-1 count: .250/.271/.306
Gabe Gross after 1-0 count: .271/.458/.500
Gabe Gross after 0-1 count: .163/.200/.288
The difference? Gabe Gross goes 1-0 46% of the time, Crawford 33%. In no way am I saying Gross is better than Crawford, he just seems to have use a better approach to help himself be successful.
weren't you just ripping gomes the other day for not taking a lot of pitches?
doesn’t look so bad when you compare him to the rest of the team though.
No, I'm ripping him for hacking at pitches out of the zone.
And his P/PA are down, but his hackiness is hurting him more than increased aggressiveness.
