Any news on unsigned draft picks from 08?

Just wondering if anybody has heard any news on the potential of signing Lobstein(2nd round pick) and Morrison(4th round pick)? It would be nice to keep building the organization through the draft. Hopefully we get these guys signed and get them playing soon. Lobstein was rated in the top 50 this draft and is compared physically to Chuck Finley. I have not read much about Morrison but it would be nice to get some quality OF's in our system. Is the signing deadline August 15th like last year?

Rumors were that Lobstein was going to be a tough sign. He wants top dollar.
Friedman new this though and said he doesn’t believe it will be a problem

Lobstein
is not signing until the deadline, but I’m positive he’ll sign. I’d be willing to bet they sign Morrison. I’d love for them to sign Carpenter, but I don’t think they will. Magee looks like he’s going to play football.

I did a checkup
last weekend. Without re-checking, I haven’t heard anything new on Morrison, and the Rays scouts have been keeping in touch with Lobstein, Carpenter and Champlin, and are using their summer league performances to evaluate final offers. The team also signed a late round HS draftee, Shull, over the July 4 weekend.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
