Otero dominating Appy league

Elias Otero, a product of the Puerto Rico HS Baseball Academy is off to a great start in his first pro year. He recently had an 18 game hitting streak snapped but went 2-4 with a HR tonight. He is hitting .402 on the season and has an OPS of 1.073. Otero is a 20 yr SS.

Good to see Otero raking

but with a birthday of 12/19/1987, he is a bit old to be considered a prospect at that level. Now if he was doing that at Columbus, he’d be on my map. If he was raking at Vero, he’d be on Baseball America’s map.

He is certainly earning his promotion at this rate.
