Are the Rockies suffering a Rocky-Mountain high?
Per Chastain, the Rockies would want Price for Holliday. I think that is a real big stretch. A three time all-star for a future front-line ace? Am I the only one that laughed while reading this?

all teams now probably arent going to talk to them anymore, they also had talks with the mets about him and taveras for beltran and fernando martinez (their top prospect), dan odowd needs to stop smoking crack before he calls other GMs, i think he is just really upset his bigtime LHP prospect franklin morales is pitching worse than gary glover if thats even possible

I doubt the Rockies are serious with this offer
They are probably just high-balling it to get the conversation started in their favor. By starting high, they put themselves in a good position, leverage-wise. I would be surprised if Colorado held onto Holliday. They will deal him, not obviously for a prospect of Price’s caliber, but by shooting high they can position themselves nicely. If, that is, they don’t scare everyone off first.
