Jeremy Effing Hellickson
Went 6 ip 3 h 1 er 1 bb 9 so
The run came on a HR. The walk was intentional. None of Hellickson's other 9 walks on the season are intentional, so in 116 innings, he's struck out 118 and walked 9.

whether it is in the next couple days or this winter, I think we should trade him
His value won’t get much higher and he may not have room in the rotation here. I wonder if the Marlins would trade Dan Uggla for him.
Do you want Uggla to play RF?
The Fish have plenty of pitching by the way. I could see the Rays make a trade to a team that has a solid group of OF prospects and not enough spot for them. But, before we give up on our RF, i would like to see how Ruggiano, Pedroza, Royster, Jennings, Salam, and Matulia turn out. But, that’s just me.

no he would play 2B and the deal would be in the winter because they aren't going to trade him now
Aki is great defensively and isn’t horrible at the plate but that would be a nice upgrade if we can’t get a real solid OF.
Lord
Uggla probably gives up as much on defense as he gets on offense. OK, maybe not that bad, but without going to the metrics, he’s always looked like a historically bad infielder to me. His defense makes Brendan Harris look like Rey Ordonez.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
If you can't score runs, don't look at your 2nd Baseman.
You should at least start with your DH.

Kaz, Shields, Price, Garza, Davis, Hellickson
someone is going to have go eventually. That list doesn’t even include Jackson, Sonny, Niemann, Talbot
Start Hellickson off in the pen
If there isnt room at the big league level for him in 2010. When Kazmir leaves for free agency, a spot in rotation would open up.
If he leaves. I thought Kaz signed an extension.

I could see a guy like Garza being dealt Or Kaz unless he signs a long extension
Now, I see Garza being dealt in the future, ‘08,09. See if Hell-boy, Barnese, Cobb develop. I completely see Jake McGee becoming a set-up, closer type guy.

These guys are fine pitching prospects
Garza is an above average MLB pitcher in the Rays control for 6 seasons.
MLB Pitcher > Pitching prospect
RJ is not an elitist douchebag who hates scouting
ah ha.
Roger that.

There is no way they trade Garza in the next couple of years
He probably has the best stuff in the rotation, and he is just putting it all together.
