You do realize that he’s a Rays fan, and likely a team employee of some sort?

I don't know if he's really a Rays fan...
but this is one great portrayal of your standard Red Sox fan.

This is wicked hilarious.
I root for the two worst teams in baseball, non-ironically.

Seriously, the guy in this video does a *fantastic* job parodying the accent, the demeanor, the ignorance, you name it. And the best part is that he's in Tampa Bay.

Actually
the accent sounds New Yorker to me. That one isn’t quite spot-on.
Or is it because Sox fan sounds so much like Yankee fan these days? I dunno…

This guy did it exactly like the famous "My new haircut video."
Search on youtube “My new haircut”, it should be the first one. You’ll know what I’m talking about.

Oh yeah...
I’ve never seen that video before until now, but you’re definitely right.

This guy is such a douchebag
He is the ultimate bandwagoneer. He pretends to be a Sox fan, but he looks like an LA greaser and acts like a New Yorker (New Yorkers sound Italian, while Bostonians are largely Irish).

And he does realize
“his team” got swept twice at the Trop, right?

It's a joke
It really is a joke. The guy isn’t serious. It’s all an exaggeration. A caricature. Relax.

One thing
I sincerely hope he didn’t pay money for a Red Sox jersey just for this parody.

I'm sad that the best part of the story was never told.
That part where the Rays swept ‘em.
Frankly I was hoping that was the payoff, seeing this guy freak out after the loss… Oh well, it’s a good parody anyway.

We Think...
it’s hilarious. As the saying goes “If you can’t even laugh at yourself what can you laugh at?” The funny thing is everyone in Boston knows someone who’s like there seriously, we think it’s funny and imitate that alot. Then it all gets mixed up so you can’t tell who’s like that for real and who’d just “taking the piss” as the Brits say. Knuckle Balls! Wickid Pissah!
You can take the boy outta Boston, but you can't take the Boston outta the boy.
