Any chance...
we could be scouting Grienke at this game? I thought i had read that he might be available…
by chancedj on Jul 5, 2008 5:35 PM EDT 0 recs
He is available
for a young impact hitter. We aren’t loaded in that category. I hope cool Sonnastine shows up tonight.

How bout Hitske at 8?

Wasn't this game supposed to start like an hour ago?
And not be on TV?

i dont really care either way
If the Sox lose, we can expand our lead. If Yankees lose, they can be buried some more.

Mariano is having an amazing season.
He picked his spots to suck very well today.

Oh dear God
are we going to have to put up with Loverboy during this entire broadcast?
Where is my handgun?

I lose a lot of respect for Shields if that is true
I want my staff leaders to have better taste in music. MC Hammer better sell out :)

Very nice start.
Now send Greinke crying to his psychiatrist.

Ever since his son first made the majors, he's mysteriously disappeared from the school system
Makes you wonder…

Most talented young pitchers look younger.
See Kazmir and Lincecum.

not sayin its a bad thing
but still looks incredibly young. So does Brignac.

Actually, that seems pretty high.
Considering he’s 26, right?

yes, no active player his age or younger has more
and he’s on pace to finish in good company, if his knee holds up

he's already at 300,
if he averages 50 a year, which is below his current average, for only 10 years, which considering he’s only 26 is plausible, looking at ricky henderson playing til past that age, he would end up in the 800’s, 700’s minimum, which is top 10 all time.

Picking Luke Hochevar over Longoria/Lincecum/Morrow
Bad feeling or baddest feeling?
by R.J. Anderson on Jul 5, 2008 7:18 PM EDT 0 recs
Greg Reynolds is no future ace either
rockies must be feeling dumb also
by joeybw on Jul 5, 2008 7:19 PM EDT 0 recs
I saw him pitch last night vs. the Marlins
For a groundball pitcher he leaves his stuff up way too much.

his ceiling is #3
I personally see him being in the bullpen eventually. Hochevar is ok but hes no ace and they could of had Lincecum or Longoria

Miguel Olivo is a Marlins reject
This is why.

damn
Grienke is good at baseball. At least we didn’t make it too easy for him.

Same ol' Hackin' Jose Guillen
And Iwamura with a pretty play.
Longlorious.

maybe,
and coming straight in laying out is the hardest play for a CF, and if he misses it, a run scores. doesn’t seem worth the risk to me.
