Off To Cleveland

I’m off to Cleveland to catch the four game series v the Tribe. Each year my son (who lives in Chicago) and I pick a weekend road trip (preferably a 4 game set) and get together to catch the Rays on the road.

Hopefully I can bring a little of the Trop’s winning ways with me and get the guys back on track. I’ll take 3 out of 4 (although I selfishly would love a sweep) and guarantee we’re still in first at the break.

Go Rays, and lets exorcise the termites from the lumber.

It's a small world!

I’m fly’n out in the a.m. to catch the 4-game set. We’ll be at the piano bar after the game(s). I’ll have my Canseco and Boggs Rays jerseys on accompanying my Chief Wahoo hat. Stop buy for a pint, you wont be able to miss me and the Indians crew.

Go to the warehouse district down town in Cleveland, in no the Flats area.

There are fun times to be had. Also, if you make it so far south, Pints has the best sandwiches in Akron, Oh (on Exchange Street). The owner there will play you in a game of Golden Tee for money. Don’t bet him against you are damn good!

The "Flats" ruled!

During the tribe’s haydays when they dominated the Central the Flats may have been more fun than the French Quarter in which I hold high regards to as far as partying ass fun.

Warehouses and a poor economy soon over ran the Flats that sat on both sides of the Cuyahoga. Seeing Indians limo’s pulling up at “the basement” in the Flats with Baerga, Lofton & at least 5-6 other Indians getting out of the stretch was more than entertaining. If you remember back Baerga’s partying got him traded.

BTW, we do frequent some establishments that you may want to try for some other entertainment: Christies Cabaret is very nice and upscale. If you want something lower key try Secrets on Brook Park Rd. Its nice and clean and cozy. There really is a “no-touching” law but normally the girls use their own discretions on whether they let you….they always let me….!
