Having attended approximately 40+ games in ‘The Swamp’, which is widely hailed as one of the more hostile atmospheres in all of sports, I HATE it when people don’t realize the lines that should be drawn.

- If someone gives you a verbal jabbing, give them a good VERBAL jabbing back
- Get LOUD. REAL DAMN LOUD!!!, But get loud for a purpose, and not just to ruin someone’s good time (Along those lines I REALLY wish the PA guys at the Trop would get their $hit together…If a cowbell is supposed to be distracting, why do they often encourage us to ring ours when the Rays are up to bat?)
- It’s ok to curse, but not to curse AT people, and it’s NOT ok to subject kids and elders to it.
- Fanboy taunts can be fun, but be mature enough to realize that not everyone wants to play that game, and you should respect people’s right to be left alone if they aren’t bothering anyone. A good rule of thumb is you get one good-natured ‘freebie’ on an opposing fan. If you give them grief, and they don’t give it back, leave them the hell alone.
- Keep your hands, feet, and liquids to yourself.

If you can’t follow these simple guidelines you DESERVE to be arrested and/or beaten down by a group of strangers.
