Not true after trading away Liriano, Nathan, and Bonser
he was able to spin terrible finishes into good draft picks like Lincecum, Cain, Posey. It is this outside the box thinking that gets guys like Sabean new contracts. As long as a team is willing to tank for sometime and sign as many past-their-prime veterans as possible.
