I know our pick will be low(I hope) but since Crow has made himself look very hard to sign, think we can draft him next year and get yet another stud SP prospect?
Well, not only will we be picking very late in the round, but won’t there be compensation picks ahead of the Rays as well if they don’t sign? If so, the Rays could end up low-30’s.

Please don’t attempt to compare CC with Upton as there is no comparison. Upton is a malcontent who thinks he is better than he is and gets disgusted and doesn’t care or try when he hits what he thinks is a routine ball. CC is a gamer, has a history of success and a history of giving 100%. As you can plainly see, Ruggiano is an average ballplayer and not a starting or everyday player on a major league team. At least not yet..

Why did Maddon have him batting cleanup at the beginning of the year if all he was supposed to do is get walks, play a good CF, and steal some bases. If we wanted that, why didn’t we just keep Gathright around? Admit it, he is not producing at the plate like he should be. Sophomore slump, what a joke. He just doesn’t give a crap. He wants out of Tampa for whatever reason. Probably b/c he sees other people get paid and not him. Good riddance.

His game score of 90 on this game equals his season high on 6/26 vs Florida, and is tied for the 3rd best in the AL this year (behind Lester’s 94 in his no-hitter and Shields’ 93 in his 1-hitter against Anaheim in May). He’s also the only AL pitcher to have 2 game scores of 90 or above this season.

By the way, Rolando Arrojo’s 1998 team-best 14 wins continues to stand as the Rays single-season record. Sonny should break it, perhaps Shields if he gets hot/lucky.

He’s REALLY, REALLY good. I can’t wait until he irons out the kinks and becomes more consistent. He might just have the highest upside of any pitcher in the organization, Price and Kazmir included.

Plus Hughes is horribly overrated
NY prospects are well known far and wide for being over hyped. Hughes talent levels might be on par with JP Howell.
